• Among the many rare Africana titles is A Voyage to Congo by Father Jerom Merolla da Sorrento (London, 1682?).
• A copy of the oldest known printed cookbook, Caelii Apitii...de re culinaria libri decem, (Basel, 1541), was a gift of Mary Ross Reynolds and is now held by SpC among the Cookery Materials.
